Annoyance

His tiny sweat drenched body is blasted with fresh air as the shoe he's been trapped in for several hours is finally slipped off by its owner. There is no time to experience relief or enjoy his freedom, as seconds later the shoe begins to be turned upside down by the massive manicured fingers holding onto it. He thrashes wildly as his body slides downwards from the toe section until he lands with a hard thud at the heel. The shoe continues to turn, threatening to spill him out from within it and onto the floor far below, a massive carpet that extends like an endless plain to the ant sized man. Frantically, he grabs for anything he can grip to save himself from plummeting to his death. He jumps, his hand finding grip on tiny sewing inside the shoe, and holds on with all his strength.

She could feel something exceedingly small inside her shoe, annoying her for the past several hours. Throughout the day she could feel it press against her toes, scraping at her heels, and at times it almost felt as though there was something tiny wriggling against her soft wrinkled soles whenever whatever it actually was found itself trapped beneath them. Whether it was an ant, a piece of dirt, some pathetic little pebble or any other insignificant thing, she did not know. But she was home now, and with her shoe upside down and ready to be shaken in her firm grasp, she was ready to watch whatever it was that had been annoying her throughout this hot summer day fall out and onto the floor beneath her and reveal itself.
